I am a former CICM seminarian in Bacolod City, Philippines. I'm glad that the people of Japan have seen Jesus in the presence of the CICM Missionaries. My greetings to Fr. Sa pagkatinuod, cguro tungod sa laing kultura ug linguahe, akong naobserbahan na dili sayon ang pagsangyaw sa maayong balita ni Kristo sa laing nasod. Pero motuo ko nga si Kristo nga maoy Master sa Misyon, siya maoy kanunay naghatag namog kusog para magmalampuson ang among Iyang misyon.Hinaut pa unta na ang among kinabuhing misyonaryo magpababilin buhing saksi sa maayong balita ni Kristo, sa paglaum ug kalinaw diri sa Japan o sa laing dapit kung diin kami maassign. I have come across your website today as we, the Bishops in the Philippines, are having our 100th Plenary Assembly. One of the points that has been highlighted in our interactions is the call for the Philippine Church to be more missionary and that it has an evangelizing responsibility for Asia. I therefore commend you Missionaries who have labored hard for Christ in the missions. Special mention to the Filipino CICM Missionaries working in Japan. Particulary Father Patrick Castroverde, CICM, for whom I have the grace to be Ordaining Prelate last May in his hometown of Oslob, Cebu. To Father Patrick, daghang salamat sa imong Christmas greetings, sa imong padala ug sa imong kamanggihunahunaon. Nasayod ko nga dili sayon ang imo nga misyon diha sa Japan, Nag-ampo ako alang sa imong dugang kalig-on diha sa pag-alagad ni Kristo pinaagi sa Iyang Simbahan sa Japan.
